2006 Wilderness Ranger Rendezvous

Who: All folks that work in wilderness in California :rangers, volunteers, trails…

What: An opportunity to get together with other passionate wilderness folks- network, learn new stuff, have a great time and get to know others who do what you do!

When: September 15 & 16, 2006
Lake Tahoe, CA

When: Friday September 15 (8am-5-ish) and Saturday September 16 (8am-noon)

Where: the beautiful Lake Tahoe, CA- Camp at the famous Camp Richardson’s Resort on Lake Tahoe, walk to the rendezvous next door at the Tallac Historic Site

Why: To learn new skills, meet new folks, share ideas and methods and have fun

Bring your favorite wilderness photos to display for all to see, or send your 3 favorite digital photos to robmason@fs.fed.us by September 4 to be put in a slide show to be shown at the rendezvous. This year’s agenda is shaping up to be fun and interesting!

Reserve your campsite soon, camping registration ends Sept. 1! We have reserved sites to accommodate 60 people, so get your reservation in early to hold your spot! Email sllancaster@fs.fed.us to reserve campsites. Please specify if you are planning on camping for Thursday and Friday nights. This campground resort has a great, fun restaurant on the lake, a general store to buy supplies, lots of lakeside beach and the best ice-cream shop in town. There are also cabins and hotel rooms on site that can be reserved by calling the resort directly at 800-544-1801, otherwise contact Suzy Lancaster for campground reservations.
